Appointed by Balfour Beatty as part of the construction team on the new 1.83km tunnel on the A3 near Hindhead, Hampshire, we were asked to replace the effluent pumping system at the Robinia Care home, which bordered on the area of the works. We were contacted by Balfour Beatty as a trusted framework partner to design, install and manage the solution.
Balfour Beatty contacted Owls Hall Environmental having been selected to design and build a major new road scheme between Stansted and Braintree in Essex. The leading engineering and construction firm needed a sewage treatment plant for its site compound which would house offices, support staff buildings and 110 caravans for workers.

Waterland is an outdoor pursuit’s facility located at Keynes Country Park near Cirencester within the stunning Cotswold Water Park. The organisation offers a wide range of land and water based activities for families, schools and youth groups as well as hosting local and national triathlon events.
Network Rail owns and operates most of the railway infrastructure in England, Scotland and Wales. Its ‘Ipswich Chord’ project was designed to help take more freight traffic off the roads and onto its rail network. The construction of the new railway line required the sewer networks to be diverted to accommodate the widening of embankments and the construction of new bridges in the area.
Belstead Hall has been through a period of change, like many estates of its type. The Clift family are looking to break away from the traditions of farming the land and instead diversify into additional business channels. Their latest project is The Tudor Barn Belstead.
The Sadler’s Farm Junction improvement scheme included provision of a dedicated strategic link from the A13 London to the A130 Chelmsford. The scheme promised to deliver faster and safer journeys. The overall budget for the scheme was £63m.
Chelmsford Borough Council awarded Owls Hall Environmental Limited the contract for the design and installation of a pumped sewerage system. The system was required to connect Hylands House, its associated buildings and facilities to the public and foul sewer.
Owls Hall Environmental successfully won the main drainage works for the Knowledge Gateway development at the University of Essex. We were required to undertake complete works on both foul and surface water deep drainage systems. The drainage works was a design and build project within the main contractor Jacksons Civil Engineering construction works.
Following the success of previous partnership projects with Balfour Beatty’s civil engineering division. Owls Hall Environmental were approached to assist Balfour Beatty in the design and installation of onsite reticulation drainage systems at their construction works, A4211/ M1 Junction 13, Bedford.
The Hitchin Grade Separation project was part of a partnership to integrate Network Rail and Hotchtief UK’s Civil Engineering sector. The project was managed through the Alliance Integrated Project Organisation known as Hitchin Alliance.
