The Owls Hall Standpipe Garden Rainwater Harvesting system uses the shallow dig flat tank, with no concrete back fill, shallow installation, and 25 year warranty it’s ideal for DIY installation and well suited to builders and property developers.
New Pump for 2024
The system now features the new DAB Divertron pump, which is a significant upgrade over standard rainwater harvesting pumps. This new pump has a replaceable capacitor – Capacitor failure is the main cause of pump failure. Historically, and with most rainwater pumps, a capacitor failure results in a replacment pump. The ability to easily replace the capacitor moces us back toewards a repair, not replace culture, better for your pocket and better for the environment.
How it works:
As rainwater enters the F-line tank for storage, it passes through the large capacity filter basket. The stored water is kept cool and free of light to stop any growth of Algae. The pump which sits in the pump sump of the tank connects to the standpipe via the 25m of 25mm green/black MDPE pipe, a connector is then supplied to connect to the 2m of flexible hose which connects to the standpipe allowing for easy positioning. The standpipe (available in 4 designs) can be positioned where required. The pump will automatically turn on when the tap is opened and off when the tap is closed. Plants love rainwater, and it’s soft so it is better for washing the car with than mains water.
