Servicing a Klargester BioDisc

SERVICING A KLARGESTER BIODISC

Klargester BioDisc Sewage System servicing

Regular servicing of a commercial sewage treatment system such as the Klargester BioDisc is essential to ensure its long term operation and compliance with Environment Agency Discharge Consent Levels.

A Klargester BioDisc treatment plant uses RBC (rotating biological contactor) technology, which means it has a number of discs that slowly rotate within the treatment plant. Naturally occurring bacteria colonise on the discs and feed upon the pollutants within the water.

Klargester Sewage Plant Servicing - Owls HallRegular maintenance of a Klargester BioDisc sewage treatment plant is vital for its long term continued performance. The motor, gearbox and bearings all need to be serviced every 6 months to ensure the discs rotate smoothly and efficiently, failure to do so can result in expensive repairs and potentially a pollution event. Commercial BioDiscs can often be fitted with loss of rotation alarms and dosing systems to maintain performance. These need regular checking to ensure correct functionality.

Owls Hall have years of experience with maintaining commercial Klargester sewage treatment systems. Our engineers are able to service and maintain every Klargester model and carry a full stock of regular sundries that are essential for keeping a Klargester BioDisc at its peak performance. They have a full understanding of the relationship between the biological and mechanical components.

Servicing a Klargester BioDiscBeing both British Water qualified and approved by Manufacturers, we have a dedicated servicing team who look after hundreds of commercial treatment plants to ensure no customer is ever let down.

Failure to maintain a commercial treatment plant can reduce its effectiveness in keeping bacteria alive and therefore in treating waste. This will usually lead to the treatment plant smelling, and polluting the land. It is also the main reason for component failure which can lead to costly repairs.
