Pressure Vessels

Adding a pressure vessel to a rainwater harvesting system is a highly recommended upgrade. A pressure vessel stores water at pressure so that when the water is called for it can come from the vessel before the pump is turned on. This can add years to the lifespan to the pump.

Furthermore, if your rainwater harvesting system is connected to an outside tap, and this tap is left dripping it will cause the pump to chase. A pressure vessel helps elevate this problem. We add a fine particle filter to all our domestic rainwater systems to avoid any risk of toilet valves from blocking. Adding a pressure vessel makes for an even more robust system.

We recommend using a pressure vessel of 24 litres upwards, and of 10 bar max pressure.
